YAZ (Youth Action Zone) is a website for all young people in St Helens to find out about local news, events, information, volunteering opportunities, their nearest Youth Centre and much more.

Alive ‘n’ Kicking is a free six week programme that gives people aged 14-19 the self-confidence to lead a healthy and active life. The course includes a gym induction, personal training advice, ‘active skills for life’ and access to fun activities in the St Helens area. There are also female and male only classes available. GoActive run a whole programme of activities and sports groups for young people under the age of 15, and they also offer discounts for gym membership, sports hall bookings and classes/courses for students and young adults.

UC Crew is St Helens’ only Break Dancing cultured community group which consists of bboys, bgirls, djs, volunteers and an events team. Practise sessions and lessons are held in various locations in St Helens – visit their website or e-mail hello@uccrew.co.uk for further details.

The Citadel has a number of groups (e.g. drama, arts, crafts) that meet on a weekly basis for young people to meet new people, learn and have fun.

The Central Library has a ‘teenage zone’ iHub facility that includes Wii-Fit, iMac computers, 50” plasma screen, a large screen projector and a writing wall.
