Together is a national charity that works alongside people with mental health issues on their journey to leading fulfilling and independent lives – helping them with aspects of life such as getting a place to live, finding work, making friends, building self-esteem and playing an active role in their community.
- ‘Supporting People‘ service helps people (over 18) live independently in the community e.g. helping people to manage their finances, home maintenance and accessing community services. Together make an individual assessment of needs and then an appropriate support plan is put in place to work towards
- Carer support service is available to anyone (over 16) who cares for someone with mental health. The service offers advice, signposting, advocacy and social group meetings to help build social networks.
- IMCA (Independent mental Capacity Advocates) service that works with people who lack capacity to make a specific life changing decision – such decisions may include serious medical treatment, accommodation changes that are for more than 28 days in hospital or 8 weeks in a care home, certain types of accommodation care reviews, safeguarding adults and deprivation of liberty.
