The Barbara Bettle Foundation

About

The Barbara Bettle Foundation aims to support Liverpool community members who have experienced bereavement through suicide. We have utilised research that shows the benefits of prevention, intervention and postvention. The Barbara Bettle Foundation offers fully-funded postvention therapy to individuals aged over 18 within the Merseyside region who have been bereaved through suicide.

Our counsellors utilise various modalities of therapy, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred and Psychodynamic approaches. Bereavement by suicide is a unique and highly diverse type of grief. Due to this complexity, we offer an unlimited number of sessions to clients. Our counsellors work with clients is individual to the client needs, experiences and preferences.
