Starting Point offer free, impartial employment advice and skills-boosting courses. As the National Careers Service for St Helens Starting Point can advise on jobs, Apprenticeships, education and training; with expert Career Coaches on hand to create personal career plans and help perfect your CV and interview techniques. Starting Point also provide free, short training courses in a range of industries to make your CV stand out from the crowd.

Services

One to one information and guidance (including through the National Careers Service)- In-house and outreach team of Guidance Advisers can provide advice with applying for jobs, writing a CV and mastering interview techniques. There is also a fully stocked careers library with a wealth of information to hand.

Training and Education – Starting Point have a range of training programmes available (e.g. business and office skills, IT courses, maths, English, health and social care etc) and can also help identify funding for training delivered by other providers.

Work Clubs are held at Starting Point every Friday.
