St Helens Urgent Treatment Centre
About
Located within the Millennium Centre in St Helens, no appointment is necessary and the service is open 365 days a year. You will be initially assessed through the triage service and then you will either wait for further treatment or be referred to a hospital service.
Formerly known as St Helens Walk in Centre.
Services
Treatment of minor injuries and illnesses such as:
- Minor cuts or wounds
- Sore throats, coughs and colds
- Fractures
- Rashes or allergic reactions
- Bites and stings
- Minor burns and scalds
- Stomach ache, indigestion, constipation, vomiting and diarrhoea
- Muscle joint injuries, such as sprains and strains
- Earache
- Eye injuries/infections
- Emergency contraception
- Prescribed medication (subject to assessment and clinical need)
How to Access
Opening Times
- Monday to Saturday 7am to 10pm and Sundays 9am to 10pm
- X-Ray service is available Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm and Weekends (and Bank Holidays) 9am to 5pm
- Blood tests are available Monday to Friday 7am to 9am
- DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) service available seven days a week (referral by GP)
