St Helens Advocacy Hub

About

Advocacy can be confusing. People who use services find it difficult to know where to turn when they need help and professional referrers face a number of statutory duties and demands, for this reason it’s essential that everyone can be confident of making the right decisions and arranging the right support quickly and easily.

n-compass delivers Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA), Independent Care Act Advocacy (ICCA), Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) and Generic Advocacy in St Helen’s. We also support adults who are being assessed/subject to a Deprivation of Liberty Safeguard. Anyone can refer to the St Helen’s Advocacy Hub however, formal instruction for an IMCA & ICAA can only be taken from the decision maker. DoLS referrals should be made to the service by the Supervising Body. The Hub also provides access to Self Advocacy groups in St Helen’s.
