We are a registered charity who exist to support, empower and inspire women to reach their full potential. We provide a range of support services to women aged 18 and over, with mild to moderate mental health problems and women experiencing the impacts of domestic abuse, current or historic. We are dedicated to achieving the highest standards to improve the lives of women through self-empowerment and self-belief. This offers benefits far beyond the individual women, enriching the lives of their families, the local community and ensuring the wellbeing of future generations.
Counselling: Our established professional counselling service provides you with the opportunity to discuss any personal isues in a safe and confidential enivonmental. We operate within the Code of Practice and Ethics of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy)
Confidence & Assertion Course: A 10-week course to help you build your self-esteem and confidence and learn the skills you need to become more assertive.
Stress & Anxiety Management Course: An 8-week course helping you to understand and manage stress and anxiety using positive strategies.
Positive Me Programme: An 8-week programme using CBT interventions to help women suffering from the symptoms of depression to develop long-term positive coping strategies
Journey Through Grief Programme: A new 8-week programme providing a safe and confidential space, offering emotional support and psychoeducation to help you find your path through grief and reconnect with yourself.
Domestic Abuse Support Group: A safe group offering emotional support to women affected by current or historical domestic abuse.
Me-Time Afternoons: An informal group to help women who feel isolated or lonely or who just want some time or space of their own.
All groups are run by qualified and experienced Counsellors/Facilitators
How to Access
Referrals can be made by yourself, your GP or other agency by phone, email or post. A referral form can be downloaded from our website. All women must attend an initial assessment appointment before accessing any of our services. Please note we don’t currently have facilities or insurance for children so childcare must be arranged prior to attending.
Office hours/Opening times are Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm
