About
Located within the Millennium Centre in St Helens, no appointment is necessary and the service is open 365 days a year. You will be initially assessed through the triage service and then you will either wait for further treatment or be referred to a hospital service.
Formerly known as St Helens Walk in Centre.
Services
Treatment of minor injuries and illnesses such as:
- Minor cuts or wounds
- Sore throats, coughs and colds
- Fractures
- Rashes or allergic reactions
- Bites and stings
- Minor burns and scalds
- Stomach ache, indigestion, constipation, vomiting and diarrhoea
- Muscle joint injuries, such as sprains and strains
- Earache
- Eye injuries/infections
- Emergency contraception
- Prescribed medication (subject to assessment and clinical need)
How to Access
Opening Times
- 08.00am – 8.00pm, Monday to Sunday Including Bank Holiday.
- Last patient booked in at 7.45pm.
Services include: X-ray (Monday to Friday 9.00am to 7.00pm, weekend and bank holidays 09.00am to 5.00pm)
Appointments can be booked, call 111.
A GP is available on-site Monday to Friday, 11.00am to 7.00pm (hours may vary), in addition to the nursing staff.
